MCSB faculty have diverse academic backgrounds and departmental affiliations and work on a variety of research questions. This offers students a wide array of choices for research and individualized training.

Students and faculty work closely in the laboratory and in the classroom. In addition, each student has a faculty advisory committee that assists trainees in tailoring an appropriate course of study based on academic background, interests and research foci.

Moreover, students and faculty have ample opportunity to interact informally at the many seminars, presentations and social gatherings that are an important part of the MCSB program.
